Competition & Giveaway Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all competitions and giveaways run by Time Well Spent Group Ltd and its associated brands (“we”, “us”, “our”). By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms and any specific instructions relevant to the particular promotion.

1. Eligibility

  • Competitions and giveaways are open to UK residents aged 18 and over, unless otherwise stated.

  • Employees of Time Well Spent Group Ltd, its brands, or any associated third parties and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

  • Only one entry per person is allowed unless otherwise stated.

2. Entry Requirements

  • Entry is free unless otherwise specified.

  • Entry methods (e.g. online form, social media, physical entry) will be stated in the promotion details.

  • By entering, you confirm that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete.

3. Marketing Consent

  • By entering any competition or giveaway, you agree to receive marketing communications from Time Well Spent Group and its trusted third-party partners.

  • Your personal data will not be shared with third parties for their independent use.

  • You can opt out of marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us directly.

4. Data Protection

  • We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

  • Personal data is collected solely for the administration of the competition and for marketing purposes, unless stated otherwise.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

  • Winners will be chosen at random or by a judging panel, as outlined in the competition details.

  • Winners will be notified via the contact method used to enter. If we cannot contact a winner within 7 days, we reserve the right to select an alternative.

  • Proof of identity and eligibility may be required before a prize is awarded.

6. Prizes

  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • We reserve the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.

  • Any costs or expenses not expressly included in the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

7. Publicity

  • Winners may be asked to participate in publicity, including social media or website promotion. We will seek written consent before using names, photos, or likenesses publicly.

8. Liability

  • We are not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete entries due to technical or other reasons.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from entry or participation in the competition.

9. Changes and Cancellation

  • We reserve the right to amend these terms or cancel a competition at any time without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances or events beyond our control.

10. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  • Fish of the Week – Competition Terms & Conditions

    1. Promoter
      The competition is organised by Trout & Salmon, part of the Time Well Spent Group.

    2. Eligibility
      Open to all members of the Trout & Salmon Gallery Facebook group. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. No purchase necessary.

    3. How to Enter
      To enter, participants must:
    • Post a photo of a fish they’ve caught in the Trout & Salmon Gallery Facebook group.

    • Include the hashtag #FishOfTheWeek in the post caption.
      By including this hashtag, entrants agree to these terms and conditions.
    1. Competition Frequency
      This is a weekly competition. Entries are reviewed from Thursday to the following Wednesday, with a winner selected and announced every Thursday.

    2. Winner Selection & Notification
      One winner will be chosen each week by the Trout & Salmon editorial team based on photo quality, composition, and catch significance.
      The winner will be tagged in a post in the Facebook group and must direct message (DM) the page with their email address to arrange delivery of their prize.

    3. Prize
    • A digital subscription to Trout & Salmon

    The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.

    1. Image Rights & Usage
      By entering the competition, participants grant Trout & Salmon permission to use their submitted images across Trout & Salmon platforms, including but not limited to print, social media, website, and newsletters.
      All published images will be credited to the person who submitted them.

    2. Data Protection
      Personal data collected from winners (i.e., email addresses) will only be used to fulfil the prize and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
    3. General
      Trout & Salmon reserves the right to cancel, amend, or extend the competition at any time.
      The editorial team’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
