British Fly Fair International returns to Staffordshire in February 2026, featuring international fly-tyers, casting demonstrations and expert talks
British Fly Fair International returns to Staffordshire County Showground on 7 and 8 February 2026, bringing together 100 exhibitors and fly-dressers from 13 countries for the UK’s largest pure fly-fishing event.
The show will feature the International Fly Tying Rows, where 55 fly-dressers will demonstrate techniques covering all disciplines of fly-tying. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe expert tyers at work and learn patterns and methods from around the world.
Casting coordinator Karl Humphries MBE said the casting programme will feature audience-active demonstrations covering pike fishing on the fly, stealth techniques, hauling, double-handed casting and slack casts. Sessions will run from 10am to 3pm on both days, with demonstrators including Neil Lobban, Scott MacKenzie and Jim Fearn.
Two demonstration theatres will run throughout the weekend. The Fly Tying in Focus Theatre will be devoted exclusively to demonstrations, while the Fly Fair Forum will address topical issues affecting the sport.
The showground is located three miles from M6 Junction 14. Tickets are available in advance through bffi.co.uk or on the door.
