The support offered to gillies by the Gamekeeper’s Welfare Trust (GWT) has been highlighted in a new ten-minute film, Nothing Is More Important Than Health, which features keepers and gillies who have been helped by GWT nurses.
The charity runs a confidential hotline (0300 1233 088) staffed by healthcare professionals and has produced an easy-to-read online book that can be downloaded to a phone. Gamekeeping for Life offers general health advice about accidents, weight, drinking, sex, the prostate, the brain, cancer, backs and bones.
